Jetta ECU Programming - Ridiculos - 23-11-2018

Hello Folks. Facing a peculiar problem here. Replaced ECU on Jetta TDi with similar donor ECU (EDC17C46). The message on instrument cluster was "immoblizer active". Did online programming and the message is now "Key not found". Tried to adapt the keys, but the operation fails with the message "The number of keys to be adapted does not match the number of adapted keys". The ECM shows as locked and disabled. Adapt key(s) show Key Implausible signal. I have swapped the instrument cluster and ignition coil and the end result is the same. Pics attached for reference. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be much obliged. Thanks.

PS: The original ECU is burnt and not accessible any more.

Sharing Pics of Original and Donor ECU. There is a bit of difference - Original is 9788 and replacement is 9970.
