thermostat housing for ford c-max 2.0tdci has a bapas valve and in the new revision the valve has been removed there is a procedure related to this, ssm18980 can help with this procedure

Did you tried to look for configuration options of PCM with Forscan or UCDS? There might be option to switch it off. I had problem with Fusion where there was 2nd oil pressure sensor and I could have switch if off

You didn't say what year your car is, full VIN is preferred. SSM's are vehicle dependent on the Ford site.
