I use the BMW Explorer to create keys ... find that it is perfectly made for it ... I'm curious what is written here

I use Autel IM508, ACDP for some CAS versions that require soldering and the ACDP does it via OBD, and CGDI BMW. It depends what platform I'm working on really. My easiest go to is the Autel. ACDP is the second or backup. CGDI I use on FEM/BDC cars like F, G, I platforms.

And what do you use to make the key file? These competitors ensured an autohex/hexprog key file would never work in BE smile

This is the only reason I dont use it for keys. The need to buy a key maker to be able to use it. Tried using a tango clone to make BE keys but it was useless.

I went autohex and explorer. Best in the business and you get lots of other capabilities if ever needed. Not the cheapest though. I have these + ACDP.

Thanks for feedback. Are there any G-series with BDC1 ? Never paid to much attention but think Gxx are equiped with BDC2 and BDC3 ?

You're deeply invested into this topic smile Defenietly considered Autohex II but I already have chiptunning solution and not really keen on paying subscription for them to develop chiptunning options where all I'm looking for is locksmith solution

ACDP WILL DO ALL KEY NEEDS FOR YOU. CAS3/4, FEM/BDC NO PROBLEM

Hello, I want to buy Xhorse VVDI Prog to work with BMW, can anyone use it, does everything stated work? Should I buy it or look at other devices? For F and G series.

RE: BMW Key Programing Tools - ferrytan25 - 22-11-2022

I am using ACDP, so far i am able to create new key for E9x E6x CAS and F3x FEM.. haven't tried the BDC version. you will need strong wifi connection in order to create new key, i have problem when using poor wifi connection while create new key for E9x and losing 3key, luckily i am able to virginize/unlock the key.

According to my reaserch for keys in G series (BDC2&3) those can be acquired only via dealer. Same for cloning options for mentioned above.

I spoke to few of my friends that are into locksmith/ICP topics and they highly recomended VVDI prog.

From my perspective I think I'll go for CGDI or ACDP (in both cases BMW authorizations for keys) and VVDI prog for ICP topics.

Thanks for the tip, I'll buy VVDI first.
