Need cid defined sd card with new maps. Must pay for that kind of sd. Maps is not problem.

I ask you for clarification:
As far as I know the CID of an SD is changeable.
What do I need a valid CID for new maps?
If a friend already has the new maps with a valid CID, would it be enough to copy his CID?
