Help replacing ews4.3 with EWS3 SW08 - elioc9 - 20-04-2024
Hello, need some help.
received today a customers x3 2.0 m47 engine from 2006 with EWS4.3 with china relay. I've already done 2 keys last year without any trouble. after almost an year client said both keys couldnt crank the engine. he said he was using the vallet key and could wait for me to come to his city. meanwhile he went to bmw and ordered a new key. he said they also had a lot of trouble and key didnt work when arrived directly from bmw germany, but they managed to make it work after a few days. they must have changed something in the eprom.
i programmed a new transpoder from the file I had saved in my computer, but didnt work. removed the ews and read it with vvdiprog and ews4 (same as last time). after that no more keys worked nor the new ones.
have no errors in ews, only in ECU, error 4A42.
for what i could see in other situations in foruns, the ews is damaged. anyone can help me converting the ews4.3 for an ews3 SW08? both eproms are in the attached file. there is any possibility of maintaining the orgiginal keys?
