So background story I have a 2011 BMW 335d that I bought and second hand module for cheap because the seller told me that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, come to find out that the donor car suffered from having diesel come into the ecu.

I opened the module was able to put my deleted map back into to it clean out the ecu completely, the ecu functions as normal but every 2-3 days it has random shut downs and it wouldn’t start I have to open up the ecu heat it up with a heat gun then put it back into the car and it works normal. But at random it will loose comm and wouldn’t start and I have to do the samething

I also have the old ecu for parts, does anyone know what part of the EDC17CP09 is responsible for the DDE Relay. Whenever the car doesn’t start I always get codes:

-4121
4121 DDE main relay

-46C0
46C0 DDE controller internal (MoCComErrCnt)

Also would deleting those DTC stop the random shutdowns?
Does anyone know what I can do? Other than another ECU I really don’t want to spend $800-$1000 for one of these ecus.
