Hello,
I need to make this file virgin. It's eeprom from MMI 3G Basic unit (8T1035652D).
I found a tutorial how swap Component Protection between unit but cannot find how delete this or make virgin.

Hello Tekero, let me make this clear
- the "component protection" mechanism is managed by a master device which can be the J533 Data bus diagnosis interface or the J285 Control unit in dash panel insert.
- the J794 Control unit 1 for information electronics is one of the slave devices.
- a special authentication key is stored in the eeprom area which is calculated based on the VIN and serial numbers and some unknown parameters
- there is no such kind of "default value" since it is different for each car
- erasing the eeprom area won't delete component protection. If the authentication key is missing or wrong component protection will kick in.
- in case of MQB and MLB platforms (MIB1 and MIB2) it is not possible anymore to manually swap authentication keys between units.
- it is possible to hack the mechanism but not by messing with the key
- rename topic to "component protection for dummies".

For MMI 2G we can prepare eeprom to "virgin" then put unit back to car and they stored new component protection data from car. It's very easy to do so i'm thinking for 3g is some way too. So...in this case we can only copy cp between eeproms bins...ok
