Hi.
I tried to remove CP from EntryEvo with HU Engineering Tool but it didn't work due to the fact HU ET can only remove CP level 3. I have two EntryEvos in CP level 2. Is there a solution?

There is no cp level 2 - there is one tool32 job HU_VIN_PROTECTION that returns the current status of vin protection:

possible values for this are 0, 1, 2, 3

0 indicates that no vin protection is active, i.e. unit is not paired to a BDC - unit will report a dtc of component protection not initialized

1 indicates that vin protection initialization is in progress - it will remain in this state whilst trying to pair with BDC - after some time if it cannot, it returns to value 0 - if it is able to pair with BDC then value changes to 2

2 indicates that the unit is successfully paired with BDC and vin protection is active

3 indicates that the unit has detected a vin mismatch - this is component protection

HUET tool and Feature Installer will query Enav2 for it's vin protection status - if value returned is 3 then unit is in CP and needs to have FSC 170 generated and uploaded

Enav2 software has a bug (probably more than one!!) in that it does not detect the vin mismatch condition in all cases that seems to happen when retrofitting - seems it can take many power cycles and several days before it happens.

We are working on a possible fix/hack that will trigger cp - this is what people are selling as "can be done remotely" - the issue is making sure it works reliably.
