RE: DiagBox 8.01 Installation
Update V7.66 = V8.02, and all updates thereon (up to 7.76) are the same.. 7.xx was capped at v7.77 which was a small closing update, while 8.xx continues. So, there is no v7.83, it is actually update v8.19 renamed to allow it to work with 7.xx..

DiagBox 8.xx has newer engines (probably for better compatibility and to allow for future remote services by PSA), some people reported that they could perform Telecoding using 8.17, but I cannot verify it.

By the way, did you manage to install 8.xx successfully?

RE: DiagBox 8.01 Installation
Well, here you have alpha version, for people with little knows of TIC.

To Run need .NET Framework 4.0 version.

I think steps are so easy:

1) install diagbox 7.xx ( needs .45 or never for config.sys)
2) Replaced with Step 1
3) Replaced with Step 2
4) Run Setup of diagbox 8.01 and follow Simple Steps.
5) Replaced with Step 3
6) Run diagbox wink

i added a Do Version... that function remove all 8.XX version from ini and put 7.99 version, i think is good know that our version is not real 7.65.

I hope this program facilitates the tasks

Any problem with exe, please contact me.

EDIT:

Executable updated.

pwd via PM.

RE: DiagBox 8.01 Installation
The problem is; when installing on a number of different platforms; like a real computer, VirtualBox VMs and VMware VMs using Windows XP, 7, 8/8.1 and Win10 TH1 and TH2 as well as Win10 RS1 and RS2. I had to write a process that covers all of them. This is why some stuff may seem irrelevant or not needed to some people.

In any case, whatever achieves your objective in running DiagBox V8.xx will be fine. The main point is to utilise DiagBox v7.xx profile and use it to operate DiagBox v8.xx.

If you go through both threads will realise how did it all develop.

RE: DiagBox 8.01 Installation
I am not sure if the process is worth more effort, since you install it and basically leave it as is, once it is working. I have an old Citroen C8 where Lexia 348 and DiagBox Versions 5, 6, 7 and 8 are all working.

But if you are good with software and wish to get into it, you could try downloading later updates, fix them and install them if you wish (I did not disable the download function). Make sure you take a snapshot before touching the system so that you can go back to a working system if you mess it up.

Actually, if you can inject a profile at the same stage where you execute the activator, that will solve it once and for all and you can then install any original update.

RE: DiagBox 8.01 Installation
Thanks for great work.

I have couple of questions:

1. About coding. I understand that this function is only avaliable in 7.54 version as the latest one ? 8.01-8.17 does not have coding option ?

2. Could you please explain how numbering works ? 8.17 = 7.81 or it is something newer ?

Thanks for help !
