E60 pre LCI, wiring in adaptive xenon to xenon loom
Got a right shitheap to deal with here.
It's a pre LCI 2004 car that came with xenon lights.
I now have this to fix up and find it has adaptive xenon fitted, LM1 AHL without the AHL module, then I ran the spec and realised someone stuck the wrong lights in, can I make any wiring changes to run the adaptive as normal xenon lights rather than try and convert to adaptive xenon's, or am I better off sucking it up and rewiring for adaptive?
Thanks.
I do have an LM2 to hand and an LM2-AHL

AFAIK you can code the LM1 to Xenon 522 --> with AHL Xenon Headlights fitted...will work without failure...

Did deacitvate couple times AHL on E60 with damaged SMC modules under headlight...it is near the same.

Or put the proper headlights in to car

Or take LM2 AHL, do the wiring...

Yeah, it works apart from stepper motors at the mo, wasn't sure if I could change a few pins in the LM2 around to feed the 4 pin plug with the correct wires but it point blank refuses to accept the LM2-AHL by shrowing an LMA-33 error when trying to read or write

Change VO (remove $524)
Change Time criteria from something 2004 --> #0904 to #0307 and then code....

Already one step ahead, coded to 0905 so it picked up the later LM1-AHL
Repinned the 4 pin plug on the light to the 3 pin setup and now have working stepper motors. I'll probably have a go tomorrow at running a pair of PT-CAN wires to the light module to see if the dynamic part starts to work as I put $524 in anyway, I had no fault codes but I can't start the engine yet as I'm waiting for the sump plug repair kit thanks to some idiot stripping it and sticking it back in...

0905 is not enough if you want to use LM2 features like Welcome home and so an...use #0307
