Hi

By mistake I did a VO code to HU2 with F15 FA while the car is F25.
CID went black. 
When i am trying to VO code with the right factory FA, i am getting errors from attachment.
FDL coding is working fine as through this method i resurrected it via coding-verification tab but, no VO coding.

what i've tried without success:
1. flashed it again to the same ilevel(SWFL and CDeploy without BTLD) 
2. Apply Cdeploy via TAL
3. Original FA read from VCM where it is untouched since factory and VO code

The original FA is the same as before doing this mistake bot VO code is not accepted.

HU permanent errors:
B7F87F - HU-H encoding fault
B7F880 - HU-H encoding fault



Any suggestions?
I will try to downgrade to an older psdzdata as a first step.

you have a WDBI_PLAIN error it's a wrong calculation or an incompatible FA
did you have Fa from the donner ?
try to reflash with it's original FA

Or if you can´t code it, even with original FA, you better go with a FA patch, several guys in here do sell them.

Hu is not retrofitted. It is fitted from factory.

But what could mess only by vo code with other FA?
I am trying to figure out the logical reason because vo code behind is somehow still fdl coding...

I used older TALs from previous flashes as upgrade to latest ilevel but with factory fa but still same mess..

I refuse to think that this is not fixable without patch...

I´ve been in this situation a few times too, even with factory NBT Evo, I was only able to code it with FA patch..

This really s..x...did not imagine that sort of fdl coding can ruine the unit...

Other alternative to patch is to retrieve each setting from a backup file or to play with coding verification...

LE. Cps is showing yyyyy instead of short vin.
One more info is that wrongly FA was for JApan while my unit is ece...so there are big chances for vo lock...

some updates..

I've found the an older NCD file from istep 18-03-530 plus SVT IST/Target and TALL from that flash process where HU was upgraded to istep 18-03-530 and use them to downgrade from 18-07-xxx.
when tried to FDL code with older NCD file, i got the same error as running VO Code.
If i run read coding data and FDL code it works perfect.

So it seems that there is a parameter somewhere in the NCD that HU does not like it anymore..

Any feedback/advices/price how to fix it?

So..some updates for those with this issue.
After 1 full day of comparing thousands of lines of older good NCD with the newest one obtained via read coding option, i figured out that the "ent_video_dvd_area_code" is the issue which makes nbt to throw out of range error.
I loaded older working ncd and modified below setting to all_anderen and now is working fine. No other region out of 6 is working - results in black screen.

Hope this workaround will help somebody and give him a free day instead of comparing thousands of lines and do trial and error.

Just curious. What dvd region did you have in the fa?

in wrong FA, if i recall correctly, i had Japan codes (802 and 857) and RH typeschussels (f15 KS22)

With my factory FA applied, I've  SA698 and SA851 and  typescussel is ECE LH F25.
Tried to change to all 6 regions but same error.
I've tried also with clean FA having only  SA609 but the same error

so it seems that dvd region is locked...cant figure out now how can I fix it...i dont think there is a SA option for all regions in order to have a succesfully VO code process
