Changing vin mevd1724 dme, what is the easiest way without flashing.?
I opened an F10 520 dme mevd1724 and one capacitor got damaged. I had an F30 dme and installed this and matched isn. The dme is tuned and i have loads of errors relating to coding, variant monitoring and vin.
I will change work hours and try code but i think i was not getting zwg so this may be tricky with enet cable. I dont want to get a retune so i need to change vin. I have found long and short vin in eprom. Is it enough to change it there and write back with ktag? Funny enough, when i wrote cars original dump to replacement dme, car could not accelerate at al. Very strange! So i got my F30 dme tuned and it is running the car. |

Yes, eeprom should be enough.
For those dmes, I drill. Opening is difficult, no? |
