2013 bmw f10 cluster problem
Hi all, this guy contacted me, he bought this car about a year ago, it had lots of abs problems which he fixed, now he needs to have the cluster repaired, I Don't know the full story of 5he car, he says his mechanic told him that the cluster needs a software update, he believes that it's not the correct cluster for the car because some of the faults are for items that aren't even installed on the car, any ideas, cheers
The guy has just told me his insurance company said the car was crash repaired |

RE: 2013 bmw f10 cluster problem
Hello,
Can you take out cluster and open it? Check for soldered places. Have you tried programming and coding it to the car? Have you checked that CAS4 has no filter inside? If cluster inside is ok, take it out, read eeprom and check for VIN both in 160d0wt/35160 and 95320 also. If there is other VIN then cars, make it virgin and then code it to the car. When you program it and code it to the car, it should update FA in the cluster also. You will need to use E-Sys and put CAFD file inside and code it after its "gifted" to the car. I think its a good idea to also read out both D-flash and P-flash from the CAS also and see that it is ok and for the right car. |
