Hi there,

F20 (year 07/2014) is having a strange behaviour for the HU/CID.
Screen is turning on and off - displaying: "Maintenance Image".



Checking with Ista, I got the error:

B7F8CB : CID: Bilddaten ungültig oder fehlerhaft 
=> Sorry for German, something like: CID: Image data invalid or faulty

Based on the diagnostics, I executed a CID check program:
- I checked the cable connection, nothing bent/damaged/shorts
- I was able to display the test screen (blue)

Continued with advanced video tests, I wasn't able to execute the test for the HU.

I'm notsure if there's additional logic in the CID and it needs replacement, of if it's a faulty HU.

If it's the headunit, did anyone see this error before?
Is it a "simple" software fix (feels like the HU is constantly rebooting/image is corrupt) or does it require a replacement HU?

Any help would be welcome!

Try to update HU first

[pcp1234]

flash software and hopefully it returns to normal
