EWS problem
Hi, my BMW is 2004 X5 3.0i (equip with EWS3). I removed EWS3 out the car and give it to my friend, he has 1 AK90 key programmer, so he can read information from EWS then program new transponder chip to make a new spare key. Unfortunately, he lost his bag with my EWS module (he hasn't read information from EWS3 yet). So, my car cannot start engine. How can resolve this issue now?
Can I buy 1 used EWS module, install to my car then make coding and synchronize with DME, this make the car can start again? Do I need read info.bin from new EWS to make new key? I don't think I can use original key unless viginize new EWS?
Appreciated for any help and suggestions.

RE: EWS problem
Original keys cannot be used anymore unless you have file from original ews or you can buy ews from BMW for your vin.
You need to read ecu in order to get isn to sync with EWS

If I buy 1 used EWS3, install it to my car, I need to code it, then make EWS-DME Start value synchronize by using INPA. Then using AK90 to read EWS and program new key. Is that right procedure? And my X5 can start with new key?
Please show me step by step how to make the car can start again with 1 used EWS3 (buy from ebay), I don't need to use original key. I already have some tool such as INPA, NCS Expert, ISTA-D, and AK90.
Appreciated for your help.

RE: EWS problem
INPA canot sync your used ews unless you match isn from ecu.
