Hi,

I have a car with a bricked ECU. I have a boot read with Kess made prior the brick. 

Can this ECU be cloned somehow and does it matter which donor ECU I buy? Can all the data be transfered?

Sorry I usually have Bosch ECU and no experience with Simos.

Hello , you can adapt used ecu with odis online but must be same numbers / power class , you can make immo off also , cloning also possible check weboctopus for example

Cloning needs full decrypted reads, most tools dont fully decrypt vin area = NO CLONE or TRANSFER

Immo off is available only if tool writes to immo area. Some tools read Immo but will not write it.

Trasdata and ktag do not decrypt the vin area so I doubt kessv3 does. = NO TRANSFER

Autotuner does decrypt these areas i believe.

As I said; I would take a look when I was asked to by pm, but if its in open forums now I shall not waste my time.

VW GOLF GTI 2017 powerclass E7 immo off 06K 907 425 B 5WP49101 01
Audi S3 06K 907 425 B 2016 5WP49101 01 immo off
Audi S3 06K 907 425 B 5WA18004 01 2015 immo off

DIAG the powerclass on your cluster and if deifferent I can change these ecu to match

As I suspected your flash (MPC) is still crypted and useless for immo transfer work, no one can do that with these.
