Nissan Navara 2011 - YD25 - EGR off / DTC P0409 off - piconerd - 09-01-2024

Hi Guys,
I'm new to this so go gentle on me.

I have customer has blanked off EGR and has engine warning light / P0409 stored.
Would somebody out there be able to assist me with EGR off?
I'm happy to pay for good solution if required.

I have full backup of the ECU and separate full flash read and an external eeprom read. I have no idea whats needed for DTC off so will just attach them all smile

Please let me know if can help Or advise if i need to do anything else at my end

Sorry guys I know this is a noob question but I don’t want to make a mistake on customer car.
Can somebody confirm where to write the modified file with EGR off.
Flash or Eeprom

Hi All,
I am having problem unzipping the file.
Winzip shows file is corrupt/missing data.
CenturianM / somebody - can you check your file / test download and unzip at your end?

Ok. So CenturionM pointed out i needed WINRAR to unpack file - not winzip! Hurdle number 1 overcome. Thank you.
Hurdle number 2 - where to write modified file. CenturionM advises write file to Flash. Thank you.

Now i have new problem 3. Password - priv - is not accepted by winrar. Shows password incorrect. I cannot unpack file.

CenturionM - Has password for download changed?

I am so close to getting this job done i dont want to give up! smile

CenturionM has been very helpful so far. I understand it is frustrating dealing with Noobs but we all have to learn from somebody. Respect and much thanks will be given to centurionM

No I can't, and the password was not 'priv'

He meant password by Private Message, but too lazy to type it out.

Three days in....... Currently awaiting password for mod file.

Password for file received from CenturionM.
Thank you.
Will will test file and report.

File downloaded successfully.
New problem. Hexprog doesn't see the file.
Appears hexprog looks for .BIN file only.

Do i need to change mod file to .BIN format?

If so how to change?

Or can only use different tool?

As always i appreciate the assistance.
